Duty Manager

Full-time | Small team | Hands-on role

We're looking for an experienced hospitality professional who genuinely cares about our guest’s enjoyment, is a genuine team player, and takes pride in all they do to manage the daily operations of our Sports Bar, Bistro, Gaming facilities, and Bottle shop.

What you’ll do

• Open and close the venue

• Manage cellar operations

• Lead the front-of-house team in service standards, food & beverage knowledge, and venue presentation

• Handle Asked To Leave situations with authority and calm

• Always ensure customers leave with a smile on their face

What we need

• Small Pub Duty Manager or related experience including staff management

• A natural, calm and confident leader, steady under pressure, approachable to all

• Exceptional customer service and attention to detail

• Strong communication skills

• Someone who’s not precious and always willing to dig in wherever needed

• Respect for existing processes with the ability to provide considered feedback and solutions

• Knowledge and ability to talk about wine without putting people to sleep!

• Confidence using POS, reservation and rostering systems

• TAB, Keno and gaming experience preferred

• Night time, weekend + public holiday availability is essential

Certification required

• Full working rights in Australia

• Responsible Service of Alcohol certification (RSA)

• Responsible Conduct of Gaming certification (RCG)
